  Holy Crap!! Just finished reading the letter in it's entirety posted by Cedars on jwsurvey. Deeply shocking letter, if this is not false that is. Cedar mentioned something on his post about if the only good nugget he gained while in the Borg was that of developing public speaking skills. This is especially taking something away from women in the congregation where they could develop communication skills.

  the letter that watchtower free put up was very interesting.

  here is my impression.. the watchtower is becoming more and more geared towards idiots.

  the midweek meeting has a stupid name, and the parts sound equally dumb.

  With the scrapping of the Ministry School, that's got to be a major let down(when after it's announced). I mean think about it, that's the only place where one can really develop their public speaking skills.

  Brooklyn Layoffs and Halt to Kingdom Hall construction projects

  a good source just just told me that at morning worship today that the governing body announced that a total of 1600 bethelites will be let get go and not transferred to warwich when the last property is sold in brooklyn and all kingdom hall building projects are on hold for at least a year so that all the focus will be on the preaching work.

  Latest rumor - all WT construction "suspended", except for Warwick

  heard 4th-hand, but from a full-on believer, so not likely to be an "apostate lie":.

  apparently, at bethel's morning worship this morning, it was announced that all worldwide wts construction is "suspended" for an indefinite time, except for the new world headquarters at warwick.. also, the "relocation" of remote translating teams is also suspended.. finally, there will be a "worldwide" reduction in bethel personnel.. all this came to me in a non-english language, and,as noted, 4th-hand.

  so it is possible something may have been lost in translation and/or in the multiple steps between bethel morning worship & me.. but if true, it would be quite stunning.

  I just want to say ''Thanks'' to the person who leaked this. Like others have said before, this letter leaked more than a week in advance, its understandable that only a handful of people would have access to that letter.

  It must have taken great courage to leak this letter. I (we) all appreciate these leaked letters, it really serves as a heads-up so to speak as to whatever comes down the pipe. We know the Borg monitors this site, and I must agree that the Borg must be just livid now that they know this has been leaked.

  Is the WT SLOW-ly Changing the importance of the Door to Door preaching work to something more profitable?

  was appointed to the circuit and im starting to hear tidbits of his talks..

  one brother told me that in one of his talks he asked the question; .

  Going back to that May 2015 when that guy was talking about money. He seemed so adamant about more money going out than going in. It just seems so strange or weird that the Borg has the rank and file listening to religious broadcasts like these to only hear about money. Just the poignancy of that May broadcast was right off the top.

  we can't forget that the reason why they have these tract campaigns before memorial/assemblies is to keep the rank and file busy. So I doubt they can really drop the door to door work.

  My thoughts re Pope Francis

  so today i'm watching cbs news coverage of the popes visit to america.

  first, let me say i'm not religious at all at this point in my life.

  still a few things stood out to me about the news coverage of his visit.. first thing i wondered was if a gb member happened to garnish this much press (unlikely) what would his message be?

  It all seems so ironic that the Watchtower always slams religions like Catholicism which acknowledge things like poverty, child abuse etc. Yet they never help feed the poor, clothing, shelter or really help the abused children. I smell hypocrisy.

  How much would it take to bankrupt the Watchtower Organization?

  so how much would it take to bankrupt the watchtower organization, they're already having to bleed tens of millions to child abuse victims, how much more would it take to bring the society to it's knees, i know at one point they were going to sell off bethel.

  The Watchtower has probably billions in assets. They could sell off a lot of their assets, deposit the money in the banks and recoup whatever losses suffered by income off of interest.
